1983-84 Post Graduate Diploma in Education. Monash University

1985-1990 Master of Education Studies. Monash University. Major project title "Student Awareness of Learning Strategies", dealing with the enhancement of student learning within a school environment by educating the learner about the processes involved, and so being more purposeful.

The thesis was in the cognitive psychology domain, dealing with metacognition in learning: title "Enhancing Learning by Informed Student Decision Making on Learning Strategy Use". A brief overview of the research and its outcomes was published as Self directed student learning: No longer a dream? in The Journal of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia.

1995-96 Completed four undergraduate Psychology subjects at Swinburne University as part of the psychology major (HD, D, D and Credit), but became too busy to finish the sequence required to gain registration with the APS (I already have a Masters and Doctorate in psychology supervised by a psychologist, but the APS requires the undergraduate sequence as well).
