1995/6 $100,000 Faculty of Computing & Information Technology at Monash provided research funding for the review of teaching, and the intervention with programming subjects.
1996 $9,200 Monash University Quality money allocation to enhance research conducted with FCIT.
1998/9 $110,000 CUTSD organisational grant (to Swinburne University) to enhance the First Year Engineering Education Project. (I was project manager, and was one of a team of 4 applicants). The application was based on the research conducted at FCIT Monash by Dr Ian Mitchell and myself.
1998 $15,000 Swinburne/DEETYA Curriculum Renewal funds for Dr Tom Edwards and myself to construct a special first year Physics curriculum for students without VCE physics.
1998 $15,000 Equity funding from DEETYA to investigate the transition problems of rural and isolated students when moving from secondary to tertiary study.
1999 $15,000 Swinburne/DETYA Curriculum Renewal funds for to assist the employment of two experienced VCE teacher to act as Teaching Fellows within the first year engineering program.
2006 $ 200,000 Carrick Institute grant to support development of support systems for Sessional Staff.2007 $ 220,000 Carrick Institute grant to support development of multi-university graduate certificate in higher education.
2007 $218,000 Carrick Institute grant to investigate and improve the leadership structures of teaching and learning support structures in Universities.
2008 $220,000 Australian Learning and Teaching Council grant to investigate the subject coordinator role.
